Training

OMICRON has designed, developed, and implemented nationwide training programs for the government and private sectors since 1998. In addition, we have provided support in other areas of training and qualification, such as the development of qualification standards. The following paragraphs describe staff experience and expertise in specific key areas of training design, development, and implementation.

  • Training Program Design and Development: OMICRON had designed, developed, and delivered a wide variety of technical training courses. OMICRON's regulatory compliance training covers compliance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 830, as well as various regulatory requirements set forth by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). OMICRON's safety analysis and documentation courses are designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on experience with a wide range of safety analysis and documentation techniques. Examples of our courses include:

Using appropriate DOE guidelines, such as DOE-HDBK-1078-94, Training Program Handbook: A Systematic Approach to Training, OMICRON has developed all elements of the training courses, including goals and objectives, lesson plans, presentations, handouts, examinations, and methods of documentation. We can tailor each course to meet specific audience needs.
  • Training Program Implementation: OMICRON has provided training courses to several DOE/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and DOE/NNSA contractor organizations. All courses are taught by subject matter experts in their respective fields.
  • Training Program Support: We have provided assistance in developing qualification programs through the review of proposed qualification standards and identification of requirements used to demonstrate employees’ working knowledge. We have also supported the assessment of training programs.
